Today we hiked most of the trail that goes along the old hydroelectric plants. We got 2 false starts before we found the correct trail and we left our water in the car so we will finish the trail another day.

There are 4 old power plants that are being reclaimed by nature but it’s really cool to see them out in the middle of dense vegetation.

Along the route we saw some beautiful plants: Lantana, orange trees, azaleas, Cala lilies.

The Fabrica da Vila hydro-electrical power plant was in use from 1900-1972.
