Today we wanted to explore Sete Cidades. The crater of the volcano has a double lake – one side green, the other blue. We made it there in heavy fog and what water we could see was just gray. We will hope for some nicer weather up there next week. We were also turned away from going any further as there is a race in the area today and tomorrow.

AZORES RALLYE TOMORROW ON THE ROAD

What we did get to do was explore the area of the coast where thermal water mixes with sea water. This time of year, though, the waves are just too violent to even attempt to go in. It is beautiful, however!

Hey, have you ever had Google take you down a road you weren’t sure was a road and didn’t think your car would make it? Yeah, us either.

There are 2 snack shacks across the road from our house with views to die for. Just burgers and such but we will be eating at them quite a few times I predict.
