Today was a gorgeous, sunny day. Because of the rally we were limited to where we could go so we opted to return to the thermal pool in Furnas. Now that we are on the west coast it’s a 90 minute drive but still so worth it.

We walked the sandy beach in Ribeira Grande too.

We also visited the Gin Library – the largest collection of Gin in Europe. We learned a lot, sampled a few and had some great conversations.

We planned on having dinner on the beach but after watching our neighbors meal literally blow away, we took ours back home. Oh, the produce truck came by tonight. In these remote areas where the grocery store is a simple mini-mercado, the produce truck pulls into town and honks his horn.
